Introduction:
The Department was founded in 1984 and has currently 01 faculty members. Faculty member actively involved in research and teaching. Member of the faculty are renowned as thinker and contributor to the discipline of History and as specialist in their respective domains of research. This is evident in the large number of invitations received to give key note addresses in conferences, participate in international and national conferences and workshops.
The Department of History offers courses leading to BA Degrees. Its teaching programmed is designed to provide students with a broad overview of Regional history narrowing down to focus on the history of India with special emphasis on socio-economic and cultural history.

The History Department prepares students for a wide range of careers by teaching a core set of transferable skills through the study of History.
